When appropriate for your treatment, we can use this digital information to evaluate tooth alignment and bite relationships and support planning for clear aligner or restorative care. The digital model also provides a useful visual reference when discussing treatment with you.
Intraoral Camera Makes Dental Conditions Easier to See
An intraoral camera captures magnified images of specific areas inside your mouth and displays them on a monitor. Rather than simply telling you what we see, we can show you areas that may need attention and talk through the findings together. This enables you to inquire and grasp the reasons behind the suggested treatment or monitoring.
Intraoral Scanner Creates Digital Impressions
An intraoral scanner captures detailed digital information about your teeth and bite without conventional impression molds. For treatments that require digital impressions, this information can support restorative planning and provide measurements used in designing your restoration or appliance. Our team can explain how the scan fits into your particular treatment rather than using the same digital workflow for every patient.
In-House 3D CBCT Scan Supports Treatment Planning
Our in-house 3D CBCT scanner provides three-dimensional views of the teeth, bone, and surrounding anatomical structures. When necessary, this extra information can be beneficial in preparing for procedures like dental implants and intricate extractions. Having this technology in our Grants Pass office allows our team to incorporate detailed three-dimensional information into treatment planning when it is needed.
Primescan and CAD/CAM Dentistry
Primescan digital scanning and in-office CAD/CAM technology support the digital design and fabrication of custom restorations. For eligible cases, this workflow allows us to design, create, and place a same-day dental crown in Grants Pass, OR, during a single appointment. Before the restoration is finalized, we evaluate its fit, bite, and appearance and make adjustments when needed.
